Blog Post: Analysis of Word?Image combo

My image is to help you visualize a different picture of computers and the people who operate them. My analyisis follows:
1. Because there is a tic-tac-toe grid, this symbolizes that some people use computers to play bad games. The title being in black and red and crooked, shows that some people's hearts are cold or warped.
2. The red letters are to show danger and a warning that we need to be careful when we use computers. The two different icons of a devil and of an angel are conventions I used to show that people who use computers can be good or bad. Computers are a great form of technology and have helped us conquer many areas.
3. The first row of people in the grid, all look happy or naive. I used this convention to show that most people are accepting and happy for new technology and for moving forward as we grow and trust. The colors are muted to show innocence.
4.The plus signs show that one persons actions feed off of another persons actions or input. But as in the first picture the girl who is on the computer, perhaps my space, does not know there is a predator on the web site. She just wants to meet people and chat. The picture of the man looks like your average picture of a man, but looks can be deceiving. In the second row, the woman just wanted to purchase something on line and thought that the purchase would be safe. She never thought that she would incur credit card theft. And finally, the pictures in the third row represent another woman with a great identity, with a great job. The man in the suit and tie shows that some people make it their profession to steal peoples identities using the computers advanced technologies. They can spy and probe into our lives in ways we would never suspect. The plus signs at the end show uncertainty of how things will turn out for all of these people. This whole image is not to bash computers, it is to make people think before they use computers to use their heads and be safe. To be computer savvy.

Blog post: letter to me (Sarah)

My name is Sally I am married. I have two sons who are married and one daughter that is married. I also have two bonus sons, one married. I have one granddaughter who is four and a bonus grandson who is ten. My past experiences in English are high school English and English 131 at J.C.C. I feel good about writing, my favorite essays to write are personal narrative. My favorite texts to use are visual texts and as I shared I like to write poetry. When I am writing, I find it difficult to control run on sentences and using proper punctuation. I find it easy to find a topic and go with it such as rambling! I am a private person and focused. I am willing to stretch and learn new things, sometimes I may groan a little. My goal for this class is to learn to become a better writer and help the class to reach all goals.
